  1. As I read this article on Republicans I have never known of the many different types of Republicans that are considered in this political party. I, myself, am a Conservative Republican that believes in a small government and Pro-life because everyone deserves the chance at life! No matter what the circumstances are in the conception. I have heard of main stream republicans because you hear it all the time in the news with the republican nominees for the Presidential Election this November. Mitt Romney is a firm believer in this area of the republican party. The next loyal type is the Christian Conservatives, for example Rick Santorum that involve God and beliefs into our government. The next, the Tea Party republicans, like Paul Ryan (Vice President nominee for Romney), seeing everything in a plain tone and has the regular sights as any other republican would on goverment and economy. Libertarians, to me sound more democratic and that is probably because their loyalty to the party is lesser than the first three categories. Ron Paul is an example as this party, because he believed in pro business and anti-government stand points. Lastly, the disaffected republicans, I have never had a term for these people but now after seeing the video and reading the article, I know of quite a few of them. Their belief of, the rich rigged the system and that our votes don't matter so why vote kind of attitude leads them to the center of the voting parties. The party category that claims a side but does nothing about it because it seems "useless to vote". Even though the 270 electoral votes are only the true votes that matter, each individual in any party should vote because it's that vote that makes up the winning area to whichever candidate you wish to win the presidency. This article has opened my eyes to my own party and that not all Republicans are main street or Christian Conservatives, but they all still have a firm belief in guns' rights, anti-abortion,and small government.

  2. First and for most I found this article to be funny...
I never realized how many types of Republicans there could be. This website broke everything down in a simple and understanding way. The video gave good explanation of what each party stands for. I enjoyed the author turning politics, which could be very serious, into a light interesting subject. I also like how the article presented examples of which people fall under which category. I feel as though I learned a lot through this article; I got a well understanding grasp of the republican party and the people who represent it. I fulling enjoyed reading this article and getting a better understanding of what each section of the party stands for.
