  1. The points D'souza makes are very strongly opinionated as they seem to be through out his movie and book. I understand he is very right-winged in his views of what Obama is creating by saying we have a choice between" America’s dream and Obama’s dream." Although it is Obama's dream, it's his dream for America. D'souza saying he won't vote for Obama just by looking at his views isn't very fair. You should just not vote for his opposition just because you don't agree with some of the choices he has made with countries, policies, deals, so on and so forth. Before this man votes, he better make sure he knows about the oppositions side and what he wants to do. In my opinion, Obama is just trying to do the best he can for his country. Not to say he hasn't made mistakes, but he is doing the best he can. I'm not really for or against Obama, but I do know one thing; he is trying to do what is best for America.

  2. well personally after reading this article i have a completetly new opinion of obama. i think he is a nut job and someone like him doesn not deserve to be in office. i mean if you dont even follow the basic idea of our founding fathers then you sure as heck dont need to be running this country. Plus on top of the fact he studied marxist ideas that in mind really stuck out. So what i feel is obama is not right for office at all.

  3. I felt like this article could be extremely controversial. I don't think that it was right for D'Souza to basically judge everything on the past of Obama, however I really do agree with some of the statements that he did make about Obama. The statement about how he is trying to take away from the haves and give them to the have-nots really stuck out to me. It seems to me like Obama is trying to please everyone else in the world and not necessarily do what is best for the United States. Obama seems to be taking into account a lot of outside sources, which is fine, but I think that he should be having Americas best interest out in front of the rest of the world when he is running this country. I believe that was the whole point of D'Souza's article.

  4. I find D'Souza's accusations to be a tad bit harsh, but as close to the truth as it can get. Obama has his own ideas for what he thinks this country should be, but they are nowhere near similar to what our founding fathers wanted it to be. Any president that is more concerned with helping other countries before his own is no president for America. The mere thought of our leader attempting to stray from the American Dream should make any U.S. citizen sick. With that being said, I admire D'Souza for writing the book, as well as making the movie.

  5. I found after reading this article, that what D'Souza's explains and tells us is true. That Obama is running this country into the ground and is not follow the "American Dream" our fore fathers had set for us. We are not free in this country with Obama as president he is trying to take our guns away from us, take coal away from the US which will create a major job lose in the world especially this area. I don't see Obama looking to the future i think he is just going day by day just trying to get by in what he believes he should do to run this country. I agree with D'Souzas in what he said.

  6. I admire D'Souza for writing the book and making the movie however, he makes the mistake that many conservatives do, a perspective like anti-colonialism is outside mainstream American thinking because in America we are all free market capitalists. Many of Obama's community organizing in Chicago was rooted in the American tradition of all, populism and direct action against wealth and political power. He is painting this view as somehow foreign to our experience. Howard Zinn noted the frequency with which Americans joined together to overcome the evils that wealth in our capitalist society can produce if left unchecked. Today, we are facing such a crisis and there is a despair growing that we are unable to do anything to stop it. If only Obama were such a leader with strongly held views as D'Souza suggests then this election would be about something very different. I admire D'Souza for writing this book.

  7. I have to agree that D’Souza is a strongly opinionated person who has obviously done his research about our president. I found it interesting that he connected Obama with his father that he has had no contact with sense the age of ten. He says that Obama could possibly be identifying with him and adopting his anti-colonialism views. The fact that D’Souza tries to explain why he thinks Obama is giving us foreign ideas is also interesting. I like how the author states that “Obama may have a vision for America that you don’t like, but it is a vision for America put forward by an American”. If we don’t like how Obama is providing for America or if we think he has ulterior motives for any policy, we simply vote against him in the election.
